Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. How Payments Work
All payments on Sokhey Media are processed via Razorpay and held in escrow until delivery is verified by our admin team. Funds are never released to an influencer until proof of delivery is reviewed and approved. This protects both clients and creators.
2. Creator Must Start Work
After payment is confirmed, the creator must tap Start Work on the order page to accept the order and begin. The delivery deadline starts from the moment of payment.
- Creator does not start within deadline + 3 days: The order is automatically cancelled and a full refund is issued to the client. No action is needed from the client.
- Creator starts work by tapping Start Work: a 2-day grace period is added after the delivery deadline before any auto-refund triggers.
3. Auto-Refund for Late Delivery
If a creator starts the order but does not submit proof of delivery within 2 days after the delivery deadline, the order is automatically cancelled and a full refund is issued to the client. The creator will be notified. Repeated late deliveries may result in account review.
4. Revisions
Some services include a set number of revisions as listed on the service page. After admin verifies delivery, the client enters a 7-day review window during which they may:
- Request a revision by submitting a written note describing what needs to change.
- Each revision request uses one revision credit. Once all revision credits are used, no further revisions can be requested.
- When a revision is requested, the 7-day clock pauses until the creator resubmits and admin re-verifies the new delivery.
- If the service does not include revisions (revisions = 0), no revision requests can be made — only disputes are available.
- Revisions do not constitute a dispute and do not affect the final payout unless a dispute is separately raised after the revision is delivered.
5. Dispute-Based Refunds
Clients may raise a dispute within 7 days of delivery verification if the content does not match the agreed brief. When a dispute is raised:
- The 7-day clock pauses immediately — the outcome is in admin's hands.
- Our admin team reviews the brief, proof of delivery, and dispute reason.
- Partial refunds apply: Because creators invest real time, resources, and effort regardless of outcome, admin determines how much is refunded to the client and how much the creator retains — based on the work evidenced. A full refund is not guaranteed.
- The platform service fee (10% charged to client + 10% deducted from creator) is non-refundable in all dispute outcomes. Only the remaining service amount is subject to the refund split.
- Admin's decision is final and binding on both parties.
6. Cancellation Before Creator Starts
If the creator has not yet tapped Start Work, the order is in "Awaiting Start" status. Contact our support team to request a cancellation. Approved cancellations at this stage receive a full refund within 5–7 business days. The platform service fee may be withheld if the cancellation is initiated by the client without cause.
7. Brand Campaign Refunds
Brand Campaigns involve upfront payment covering all slots. The following rules apply:
- Unfilled slots: If the campaign closes with fewer approved creators than the slot cap, a refund for unfilled slot budgets is processed within 5–7 business days of the closure request.
- Approved but undelivered slots: If a creator fails to deliver after being approved, that slot budget is refunded or reallocated at the brand's discretion.
- Platform fees: The 10% fee charged to the brand and the 10% deducted from each creator's slot payout are non-refundable once the campaign is live. Cancellation before any creator approval may qualify for a partial fee refund — contact support.
8. Non-Refundable Cases
- Orders where delivery has been verified and the 7-day dispute window has closed with no dispute raised.
- Disputes raised after the 7-day window.
- Orders cancelled due to client-provided incorrect, incomplete, or misleading briefs.
- Platform service fees — 10% charged to the client at checkout and 10% deducted from the creator's payout — are non-refundable in all cases once an order reaches "Delivery Verified" status.
- Revision requests are not refunds — no money is returned on a revision; the creator simply redelivers.
9. Refund Timeline
Approved refunds are processed via Razorpay to the original payment method. Auto-refunds (non-start, late delivery) are triggered by our system and processed within 5–7 business days. Dispute refunds are processed after admin resolution, also within 5–7 business days. Timelines may vary by your bank or card issuer.
10. Influencer Tax Responsibility
Payouts are made as shown in your wallet. Influencers are solely responsible for declaring platform earnings in their Income Tax Returns. Sokhey Media does not provide tax advice — consult a CA if needed.
11. How to Request a Refund or Raise a Dispute
Use the Order Detail page on the platform to raise a dispute or request a revision — no need to contact support for these actions. For other refund requests or cancellations:
